Dear Lincoln,
Let me introduce myself, I am one of the CO owners that was opening Postville Pub & Eatery and run our events for both resturuants and our social media.
We usually feel like Facebook is not a place for personal buisness or drama. But we feel this issue is too serious to not post, especially due to the lack of respect and professionalism from Lincoln Police Department.
Last Tuesday our family became aware from an underage employee that he was being sexually abused by one of the landlords to the property who owns a large farming operation in Logan county.
He also is the landlord on the child’s parents homes and had threatened eviction if he told.
Upon confronting the accused person he asked my partner on the bar Dalton for the security camera DVR, Dalton said no and made us aware of what he reviewed on the footage, he then used his influence in Logan county and got an order of protection against my partner on the restaurant with false statements. All of which we have documentation.
He then used this time to enter into the restaurant that he was not involved with he was just the landlord and ripped out all the security camera equipment and DVR. Lincoln police stood there while he did this and said they don’t deal with property disputes. Yet they were allowing him to destroy evidence and then allowed him to change the locks and refused us access.
After consulting with attorneys we are going to fight tooth and nail for justice all around in this, and we are going to fight to bring Lincoln the awesome eatery and family center it deserves.
Again we apologize and sorry if some see this as unprofessional but we have out blood, sweat and tears into that project as well as over 100k in capital.
We will fight to see it open for all of Lincoln to enjoy.
