What an incredible evening we had at our first Community Dinner, a collaborative project we put on with our visiting Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative - YLAI fellow from Belize, Chef Ashley! This event was two months in the making, and Chef Ashley’s food did not disappoint (the ox tails in particular were especially a hit 🥘)! It was an evening of intentional conversation, curiosity, and cultural sharing among all in attendance. We want to do this more often, so stay tuned for the next opportunity (and until then, we wish Chef Ashley all the best as this is her last week with us in Lincoln)!

Chef Ashley brought to us an amazingly fun time at our Belizean Cooking Class on Sunday—we chopped, fried, danced Punta, and rode out the storm together! Thanks to all who made it out!🇧🇿

There are still two unique opportunities to join our guest chef from Belize for an evening of great food, conversation, and culture before she heads back to her home country! Her cooking class, A Taste of Belize, on May 17 will walk you through all the steps to make your own traditional Belizean stew at home, and will include some extra treats (including dance lessons)! The Community Dinner on May 19 will feature a four-course dinner, Belizean music, and curated prompts to spark curiosity and conversation among attendees. Join us for one or both!
