The wait is almost over...

For years, we've been dreaming, planning, and quietly stirring something magical behind closed doors. Now, the moment has finally arrived: Snarfinkels opens one week from today — Tuesday, July 28th!

We'll be welcoming you with limited hours to start — Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. — while we settle into our new little corner of wonder.

Behind our doors, the tale is nearly told: coffee beans journey ever closer to our door, the bakery menu is complete, and gourmet chocolates and candy are ready to fill you with joy. Something delightful this way comes, and we simply cannot wait to share it with you!

Mark your calendars. Tell your friends. The countdown has begun. ✨

The final coat has dried. The room has gone quiet.

Somewhere under all that plastic, something is waiting.

Look closer. Those aren't just drop cloths — they're silhouettes. A counter here, a cabinet there, an archway with secrets tucked into its curves. A lonely light is glowing, soft and gold, like it's keeping watch until the rest of the room is ready to wake up.

We won't tell you what's under there. Not yet.

But soon, the plastic comes off, the lights turn on, and the open sign finally lights up for the first time.

Happy 250th birthday America!

Some people might find it odd, but we're happy we GET to work on our little piece of the American Dream on the 4th of July! We're dodging rainstorms to finish mortar tuck pointing around the bow windows and entrance door, as well as removing the entrance door for a fresh coat of paint. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to build our dream!

Snarfinkels isn't just a place to grab gourmet coffee and beans — it's a destination. Step through our door and feel time slow down, wrapped in the romantic nostalgia of a Victorian era gone by, crafted down to the smallest detail just for you.

If we poured this much effort into making our retail coffee bean grinders beautiful, just imagine what's waiting for you throughout the rest of the store.

Shawn disassembled and powder coated each grinder in a stunning copper and gold vein finish — one devoted entirely to our single-origin beans, the other to our flavored beans. Every detail, considered. Every corner, a little bit of magic.

This is the last time the two bow windows will be empty for many years to come. The beautiful cherry wood and granite top are ready to get all dressed up for opening day!

The final push to open Snarfinkels is on! Anyone who drives by the Vintage Works Secret Lair on a regular basis knows we usually have only a few cars in the lot. It's exciting to see so much activity with the Snarfinkels crew working on their final preparations to open the coffee, bakery, and candy shop. The woodworkers are buttoning up the final touches on the retail area, and some of our crew is working hard on our building addition that will someday house a much larger Snarfinkels! These are exciting times!!
