3rd Generation Pitmaster Kent Black is no stranger to the Caldwell County Courthouse.

Before practicing law in Lockhart himself, Kent would come eat watermelon on the courthouse steps while his grandfather, 1st Generation Pitmaster and Caldwell County Judge Edgar Black Sr., worked inside. Those years later inspired Kent’s own path into law alongside The Original Black’s BBQ.
