Letter From V

Dear Customers,

The Corner House will be closing its doors forever on November 17, 2021. I made the decision so that I could move out west, for a fresh start and brand new beginning. I have a deep love of gazing at the mountains and for breathing in clear starry night skies. It is something I’ve wished to do for a long time.

Thank you for all of your patronage over the last 8 years. I couldn't have stayed in business without you. I have no doubt the new business and its owners will be great for the area and great for Lombard. They are led by a very confident, well meaning and fun couple. Please welcome and support them as you have supported me all of these years.

To those few, who have penetrated my iron outer shell and have miraculously reached my heart (you know who you are) words cannot express how much you mean to me, so I will not try to say them. Thank you for keeping me company and for laughing at my jokes (for better and for worse). I will miss you. You will forever exist brightly in my mind.

Lastly to Jim and Maureen, thank you for being my friends and for making the sun shine on cloudy days. You have an incredible gift and I will remember you always.

We're hiring! need one to two baristas. We'll be extending our hours soon and are going to need more workers. Barista experience preferred especially if you've worked for a small independent shop like us. Must be at least 18 to be considered and have some good references.
