Donations of pet food, treats, and supplies are taken by our office and then delivered to the senior’s home by a friendly volunteer. People interested in donating can do so by either:

DSCC was featured on CBS News this week to discuss how gas prices are affecting our meal delivery program. Check it out here:

The nonprofit serves more than 370,000 meals to about 9,000 seniors each year. Those seniors rely on the meal deliveries and wellbeing checks provided by the organization.

We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and we want anyone part of our organization's history to join the festivities! Through September 2026, our staff and Board Members are making the occasion with celebrations and opportunities to get involved throughout the year. The anniversary year will culminate in a celebration event on October 22, 2026 at Abbington Distinctive Banquets in Glen Ellyn. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you, Inside Out Club, for making these adorable ladybug clips to brighten our seniors' days!

💛🐞 KINDNESS IN ACTION at Briar Glen Elementary (K–5 Series)!

Last week, they focused on showing empathy to seniors, learning about their experiences, and how we can help them feel valued and included.

They also made cheerful ladybug clips, one to keep and one to donate to the Dupage Senior Citizens Council, to help brighten someone’s day.

Because small acts = big impact. ✨
