Hey there Long Beach! I'm so sorry this took forever to post. I have gotten hundreds of emails, texts, and DM's asking what happend to Fit Foodie Express. Long story long... I got into an accident last April. I broke multiple bones in my pelvis, and it has been a LONG road to recovery. (good news at the bottom lol)
Unfortunately, the job market made it very difficult to hire a responsible, seasoned chef to take my place, so our cafe menu kept going, but we paused MP. Then, not suprised, high school and college kids could only keep things going "on point" unsupervised for so long. Some of the kids were great, some, very difficult. Quality went down over the summer, and I dealt with a lot of drama and lack of dependability. LOTS of call outs, LOTS of "I'm closing early bc I basically don't have a boss watching me." A little stealing. A LOT OF STRESS.
We closed down just around Thanksgiving. I was sad, but also relieved after 7+ months of trying to heal and dealing with too much stress - I was not able to focus on my heatlh both mental + physical. I am SO GRATEFUL for all the love and support from the community. I live around the block from Fit Foodie, so I too miss being able to send the hubs to pick me up a Mex Fajita Bowl! Like many of our Fit Foodie Fans, I loved that damn bowl too haha.
SO MANY of our customers have reached out to me asking if I would consider putting a recipe book together. I am currently working on that! If any of you are interested, I WILL be sending out an email when I complete this project! You can still head to the website, scroll down, and sign up for our email list. You won't get any emails until I have news when my cookbook will be released!
It will have over 100 of my recipes! From our super popular Turkey Chili (oh yesss... even the taxi guys next door loved that!), to our #1 seller, the Mex Fajita Bowl... Did you know that we carry two different kinds of organic local raw honey? 🐝One is wildflower💐, the other is clover. Both are from Long Island 🏡and naturally does wonders for 🤧allergies! We also 👉use AND 🛍sell local organic pastured eggs 🍳from Raleigh’s Poultry Farm in Kings Park. Fit Foodie Express, seeks mature, hardworking, dedicated counter person with great "people skills" and is a “Foodie” for part time position.

This would be a great job for a local mom or dad looking for part time flexible hours. We are looking for a smart, motivated individual, passionate about food who wants to work in a team-based creative business and help it continue to grow.

What we want in an applicant:
Passion for Food
A minimum of 6 months retail food sales experience
Enjoys interacting with the public in a positive, friendly manner
Is able to multitask, often under the pressure of deadlines.
Knows how to operate a POS system and is technologically savvy.
Is able to work as a dependable, reliable team member
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
Barista and or juice bar skills a plus but not required.

Responsibilities also include but are not limited to keeping the marketplace and display cases organized and immaculate at all times, assisting our team with large meal prep and cafe orders.

Must be able to work days and weekends.

Our hours of operation:
Sunday 8am to 7pm
Monday though Saturday 8am to 5pm
