It’s been a beautiful week and it’s finally starting to feel like summer around here. The Brookside summer crew is rolling in and already kicking butt and taking names. Don’t mess around, these ladies know how to make a hoagie and pour a cold beer.

We’ve got fresh house made guac this weekend. Pair it with The Guides Lunch and you’re in business.

On tap from Hex & Hop, we’ve got the dangerously delicious Canoodaler Lemon Shandy. Hard to beat a cold shandy on a hot Adirondack day.

A Mo inspired Hoagie!🇺🇸🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🇪🇬

Last summer Mo showed up from Egypt and became part of the Brookside and Long Lake family overnight. He worked hard, laughed harder, and never passed up a sandwich with our habanero bacon jam. He always kept in mind you can’t party hard unless you work harder!!!
Mo impacted my life and inspired me in so many ways and I’m sure he did for our Brookside and Long Lake Community! So until it runs out, lookout for our Mo’s Suez Smoke Hoagie!

Happy Mother’s Day from Brookside!

A smart man once told me, “Every strong man needs a stronger woman.” Growing up I have realized that checks out. Thanks for always keeping the wheels turning, Mom.

And thanks to all the mothers out there and the ones I can go to in Long Lake when I can’t reach mine on her cell phone! Lol

All moms get a free 8oz draft beer on us today. Because if anyone’s earned one, it’s probably your mother. Open Today 11-7 (slight break from 1230-130 for church) enjoy this beautiful day today and get out on a Adirondacks Adventure with your Mom!

Yes sirrrr! what a mud season it’s been. A little rain, a little snow, a little sleet, and a few sunny days. Crappie are starting to bite, brookies are getting hammered, and the locals are doing their part to keep turkeys off your vehicle bumpers.

Mud season’s here. The time of year when the Adirondacks turn into one big slip n’ slide and half the town disappears till the blackflies show up! Also one of our favorite times of the year…Brook Trout Season has begun!! Don’t worry we aren’t going anywhere though! We are dialing things back just a touch so (I) Johnny can pretend he’s getting ahead on spring projects and cleanups and of course do some fishing (we’ll see how that goes). See you all soon!

Spring or winter? Hard to tell around here. Brookside’s snow fisherman seems to think winter’s hanging on a little longer and he’s not giving up ice fishing yet! So until it melts, we’re rolling with a full Pastrami Takeover. Here’s what we’ve got going on right now!

The Double Down BLT – pastrami, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo on rye

Backwoods Burner – pastrami, sauerkraut, jalapeños, pepperjack, chipotle mayo on rye (Johnny’s pick if you like a little heat)

Brookside Reuben – pastrami or corned beef on Carnegie deli rye with sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 island

French Onion Soup – topped with toasted bread and provolone

Open 11–7 Wednesday through Sunday. Come warm up and grab one while it’s still here.

Brookside will be closing a little early today sorry for any inconvenience. We had an awesome weekend with awesome people in the shop. The support from this community never goes unnoticed. You’re all part of the Brookside family. But between a busy weekend and the time change, today snuck up on me like a northern pike under the ice. We’ll be back at it soon rested up and ready to sling hoagies again. Thanks for another great weekend, Long Lake.

I would like to apologize on behalf of Brookside and myself for the lack of communication of hours and closures! A little Birthday Break and closure turned into broke down sleds a long walk and recovery of said broken down sled. We will reopen today! Saturday 1/24 Mid Day! Old sleds will get you there but not always get you back! Nothing new in the Adirondacks. A little mental health check and recovery never hurts during the winter months!
