This Friday night, we’re featuring Argentine-style prime hanger steak sliced and topped with traditional chimichurri sauce, accompanied by Papas a la Provenzal and grilled Farmers Market veggies. Highly recommended with a glass or bottle of Dovecote’s 2021 Redtail Rhone blend.

To start (or to take home!), we have Jesper’s Tom Kha soup, including Mary’s chicken, white shrimp, coconut, Jasmine rice, galangal, lemongrass, chilis, lime juice, basil, and cilantro. That and a glass of Tatomer Riesling? Fuhgeddaboutit.

From our “What the Winemakers Drink” section of the list comes ArPePe’s 2015 Grumello “Rocca de Piro” — a singular expression of Nebbiolo from the steep Alpine vineyards of Valtellina.

Far removed from the more familiar wines of Piemonte, this mountain-grown Nebbiolo is lithe, perfumed, and elegant, layered with warm spice, dried herbs, rose petals, and alpine botanicals. More than a decade on, the 2015 remains remarkably youthful, yet open and generous in the glass.
