From here will come “Rosie’s Canteen”—a more direct descendant.

While El Mar Azul may be gone, we’re excited to share that our beloved tostada will still be available! You’ll be able to find it at Rosie’s Canteen on select days once we open.

Rosie’s Canteen is currently under construction as we search for the right conversion specialist to bring our vision to life.

Since 1984, El Mar Azul proudly served Highland Park and Cypress Park. After 41 incredible years, we regret to announce our closure.

We're grateful to our loyal customers who chose us for family gatherings, lunches, dinners, and birthdays. To those who braved long lines and rain for our famous Tostadas and cocktails, thank you.

We're honored to have been a part of your Los Angeles ritual for generations, near and far. Thank you all for the memories.

There is more to come.
