The Backyard Grill & Bar is an independent, casual family dining restaurant with one location in Loves Park, Illinois, serving the greater Rockford and surrounding regions. A few reasons why our customers love our food; we use a true wood hickory grill; our BBQ ribs are second to none; our prime rib will make your mouth water; and we offer burgers you could only find in your own backyard. We pride ourselves on being able to offer menu items that will satisfy the entire family as well as being a great place to hang with friends and watch a game on one of our many flat panel TV's.

Today we’re thinking of Brad and the Carpenter family as they gather to say see ya later to Pat. ❤️

Brad and Pat are such a big part of our Backyard family, and our hearts are hurting for Brad and everyone who loved her.

Pat always called Backyard her “Cheers,” and that means more to us than she probably ever knew. Knowing she felt at home here is something we’ll always treasure.

We’ll miss you, Pat. Thank you for being part of our Backyard family and for making this place part of yours. It won’t be quite the same without you. We love you ❤️

We could tell you how much we love this place… but we thought we’d let our customers do the talking. ❤️

Every kind word, recommendation, and visit means so much to us. Thank you for cheering us on, bringing your friends, and making Backyard part of your week.
