What an incredible time we had at the Points of Light Lantern Celebration last night. So many beautiful bright people all in one place. From the vendors, to the volunteers, to folks enjoying the festivities everyone was lovely and had a blast!

Such significant community engagement. What a delight to see all those faces. After a long winter that was just what we needed. I’m basking in gratitude today.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to grow and establish Seeds Catering and Education. Entrepreneurship is not as glamorous as many make it seem. But today I’m taking the time to look back on all the people I’ve fed, all the minds I’ve stimulated, and all the seeds I’ve planted. Really sitting with the fact that I’ve been at this for some time and I’m still in love with the work.

So here’s a look at my first catered event. It was a collaborative workshop in 2023 with local artists and growers, hosted at a farm. I cooked for over 20 people and made a traditional caribbean menu completely vegan! It was a challenge. I was working alone, out of two different kitchens, and honestly had no idea what I was doing. I’m immensely grateful for everything I’ve learned since then and everyone who has helped become the business woman I am today.
