Hey everyone,
We are closing.
Marley Meats was born in the heart of pandemic from a series of dreams I had about selling ribs. We launched our first trailer in August of 2020. In March of 2021, we purchased a custom trailer and started running two trailers simultaneously.
Since then, we have served food consistently in over 30 small towns within an 80 mile radius of Lubbock, TX. We have fed well over 50,000 people. Hopefully many of them left with a smile on their face. We have been able to donate tens of thousands of dollars to local nonprofits and charities.
We have served our mission to put people above profits, love people well, and see folks transformed in our business and the community by the Gospel.
Since the beginning of 2022, we launched two new food trucks, The Spud Truck and
Texas Mac Shack. Within a month, The Spud Truck Tulsa will be running in Oklahoma. We will continue to operate these other trucks and hope to see you there.
Additionally, the vision for our business has shifted. The result is a shift that is moving us away from the mobile barbecue business. We will continue to cater BBQ events across the South Plains, however, we will no longer be running Marley Meats.
While I understand this could be sad for many, please know that we are following God's leading into the next season and trying to pivot to adjust to the vision He has given us for expanding our food truck operations across the country.
Finally, I want to thank you for showing up and meeting us in all seasons for all sorts of weather and conditions and supporting what we do. It has been the greatest honor to lead our team and serve these communities.
We will be doing a "Farewell Tour" this week. We will travel to some of most beloved towns during the week and be open on Saturday and Sunday all day in Lubbock at Food King.
In this business, the most exciting thing for our entire staff is to have a sellout day. It is truly unrivaled. I want to personally invite you out for one last meal as we celebrate all God has done in the last two years. We are giving the entire profits from our last week of business away to our team. So please join us, help us celebrate and sell out because it might be the last chance you ever get unless you book us for a catering.
