10 Things This Election Season Has Taught Me ❤️🙏🏻
As I reflect on this election season, there are so many lessons I will carry with me long after the votes are counted. This journey has stretched me, challenged me, humbled me, and strengthened me in ways I never expected.
1. This has been some of the most mentally and emotionally exhausting work I have ever done. Serving your community and putting your heart out there is not for the faint of heart.
2. The Lord has placed some of the most amazing people around me. The prayers, encouragement, love, and prayers of protection have carried me through some very difficult days. I will never take that for granted.
3. I have learned that I can do hard things. Even when the road is difficult, I can keep showing up and doing the work.
4. I have learned that I don’t always have to speak. Sometimes silence is powerful, and not every word deserves a response.
5. I am stronger than I ever thought I was. Sometimes you don’t discover your strength until life gives you a reason to find it.
6. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is the most important thing in my life. When the noise gets loud, He is my peace, my strength, and my reminder of why I do what I do.
7. I have met some truly amazing people along this journey. The conversations, the encouragement, and the relationships formed have been a gift I will treasure.
8. I am incredibly proud of the group of directors I have had the honor of serving alongside. They are amazing, intelligent, hardworking, and devoted to LCWCID #1. I am grateful for their service and the work we have done together.
9. Words truly reveal what is in the heart. This season has been a reminder that our words matter, our character matters, and how we treat others says far more about us than we sometimes realize.
10. Buffalo Springs Lake will ALWAYS be worth the hard work, the stress, the long hours, and the challenges. This lake is more than a place on a map. It is home, it is memories, it is family, and it is a beautiful gift to Lubbock County. I believe it is worth fighting for, protecting, and continually improving for generations to come.
Through it all, my heart remains rooted in faith, service, and a deep love for this community. I know there will always be challenges, but I also know that meaningful change takes dedication, strong leadership, and people who are willing to do the hard work.
I would be truly honored to have your vote for LCWCID #1, representing Precinct 4. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me, encouraged me, stood beside me, and taken the time to hear my heart. No matter what, I am grateful for this journey and proud to serve a place I love so much.
May God continue to bless Buffalo Springs Lake and the people who call it home. 🙏🏻❤️
