This week, we’re breaking tradition… there will be no roll for soup.
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, we’re serving up a bowl of history: Philadelphia Pepper Pot Soup — often called “the soup that won the war.”
Legend has it that during the bitter winter of 1776, George Washington and his troops were sustained by this very dish before their daring crossing of the Delaware — a moment that helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War.
