☀️🐾 Hot weather is here, and our pets need a little extra care to stay safe.

As temperatures rise, please remember to provide your animals with plenty of fresh water, adequate shade, and a cool place to rest. Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes, and try to limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day.

Our pets depend on us to protect them from the dangers of extreme heat. A few simple precautions can prevent heat-related illnesses and save lives.

If you see an animal in distress due to the heat, please contact the Page County Sheriff's Office at 540-743-6571. This number can also be used for non-emergency after hours number.

Stay safe, stay cool, and help keep our four-legged friends healthy this summer. 🐶🐱🐴

Looking for love this summer? 🧡 We have plenty of cats and kittens waiting to find their purrfect matches! Adoption fees for adult cats are $45 and kittens are $125. 🐾
✅ You can submit your application on our website and an adoption counselor will be in touch within 48 hours. From there, we will set you up with a meet & greet!
😻We also host adoption events every Saturday from 10am-2pm at the Waynesboro and Harrisonburg PetSmarts.
