The restaurant business is a tough one. We have had our share of challenges. Opening, no one knew we were here. Covid, open with no one around. Covid, people discover us. We opened an art gallery once. Then we were really discovered. Became busy that second covid summer. After that people return to normal and we had a number of good years. We expanded into Mount Horeb. Unfortunately that didn't work, creating a cycle of financial catch-up that we were never able to escape because of one person's greed and sense of self righteousness.
Ultimately is still own these issues. Always will.
My wife and I had a long conversation yesterday and I HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE 107 STATE.... TONIGHT AND TOMORROW will be our last days open.
Yes this is sudden, and abrupt. But I have been fighting for everything for the last year, and since I made the decision to close Bar Manzo, now a year later I have decided this fate as well for 107 State. I don't have the fight in me any more. So stop by for a libation or a dairyland bliss. We'll be fully stocked tonight, probably less so tomorrow. I'll be there. I'll put out a message about my remarkable staff tomorrow.
Thank you,
Nathan
