Happy Easter Sunday!!!

A moment that happened 2000 years ago!!!
A moment that that gave us hope then and is giving us hope today for the future.

A lot of my customers if they remember today was our last day of operation last Easter of 2025. I never thought that I would ever be working as a chef. Especially with the way things went down one event after another.

Life is full of moments of new beginnings and new trials.

I am Very grateful to all my customers for all the support and love they have shown.
I see families grow, kids getting older. It's a whole different experience when you know that you are loved by so many.

I am Very very grateful to my family for holding us together. I am also grateful to my precious staff and my presence team members for letting this journey mature to understanding.

We will be having a special buffet at North south Tadka with lots of varieties.
North Indian, South Indian and Indo Chinese.

Our business has gotten better and better and we hope to see many familiar faces.

As interesting and tasty it is, there's a lot of work to it.
It's a short crust pastry dough kneaded to develop enough gluten to bind it together.
Rolled out thin enough to hold itself when shaped.

This was last evening for Valentines night.

"Everything went super well"

It was a treat to see Chef Ramesh in action. The boy worked and presented his heart off.

Mr.paul and Mr.pannu and everyone in the front did an amazing job.

Our curry chef Mr. Rocky held us all together when it came down to final moments.

The Amigos backed us up...

I am Very Grateful to God almighty πŸ™ for putting me back in action and have blessed me with such wonderful people around me.

I do miss my team at kebab and curry. Never know what God has in mind.

Our buffet for today has also got some big surprises. The Tandoor section is going to have Tandoori chicken, Saffron malai kebab and chicken seekh kebab as part of the buffet.

We are working on a lot of surprises in the coming week heading towards eastern.

Please be free to add Garlic naan, Masala garlic naan or chill Masala garlic naan ( there is an up charge to these breads but the worth the taste).

I have a good news to share!!!

Like so many other miracles in my life there's one more added to the list.

After Kebab and curry closed I worked for a gas station in Canton mississippi, Then Capriotti's in pearl and then at a wear house in Jackson Mississippi. With all this happening i still couldn't keep up.with the bills that were backing up from Kebab and curry so I picked up a job in California as a manager at a V**e shop. Life was really hard and I questioned God's will at every step. Staying away from family, managing my self and praying. Prayers was all I had.

Suddenly out of no where, Mr. Paul and Mr. Pannu who own North south Tadka in Ridgeland reached out and I got an opportunity to work on Tandoor.
A lot of y'all may not know but in 2004 when I moved from California I worked at Restaurant called Ruchi India on frontage road. Then left them and went on to open Spice Avenue. My journey has been to bring Indian cuisine in an as authentic taste to every Table in Mississippi and it continues with God's blessings πŸ™Œ.

I am Very Grateful to my Mrs Laura Anand for holding things down as we saw our dream shattered when Kebab and curry was Viciously shut down by greed.

I sincerely pray that I stay strong in carrying my cross ✝️ πŸ™ and keep working hard to help more and more restaurants present Indian cuisine in its best form.

In 2004 when I moved to Mississippi to get married to Mrs Laura Anand and settle down in Mississippi, I always knew deep down in my heart that Mississippians will love Indian cuisine but I also knew it had to be sold and served right. It took me a good 14 years to understand the pulse. The roots were in me because of my mom Maisie Rozario. She was an Anglo Indian catholic lady and when she met my dad she didn't know much about Indian cuisine even though she was born in India Kolkata .We as family had a very very special member My grand father (shri Bal mukund Anand) migrated from Pakistan during the partition and raising his three kids all by himself (my grandmother had passed away when my day was 5 ).Our little home would feel like fair when he would come visit us ...from making halwa poori ,Chole bhature, rajma chawal ,palak paneer ,pakora he taught my mom and she very piously learnt from him .I still remember when I was little, my grandfather would definitely make one dish for my birthday if he was around. From washing and soaking the beans to getting the other vegetables prepared it was love and passion. With time my mom mastered the cuisine to her best and very passionately cooked for our other family members when they visited. I used to.end up mostly around her because I knew she needed my help .she was a tough chef to apprentice with ..very tough...I still remember sauting those onions for the chicken curry it used to be an hour atleast and this was when I was 8 or 9 years old.
With time I'm so glad to see Mississippi enjoying Indian cuisine and making it a part of theirs .anything cooked with love has to be a Mississippi thing .
With the restaurant closed I'm still trying very hard to keep my hope alive to one day bring my cuisine back.
