Well friends, I have sad news... Today, December 31st, was Dave's Sticky Pig's last day in operation. Dave had to make the painful decision based on the suggestions of his legal & financial advisors. He did everything he could to keep it afloat, but his financial circumstances reached the point of no return, and things became unfeasible.

Dave & the rest of the crew would like to say thank you one last time for all the love, support, and faith that you've shown the business over the years.

What's in for the future of this location, & delicious BBQ in Madisonville? Keep an eye out. Ben & Ashley, Dave's son & daughter-in-law, have foodservice in their blood. They are hoping to take this opportunity to become business owners themselves with a brand new venture, offering delicious homemade foods to all the great people of this community. Stay tuned, & wish them luck!

We will be taking custom cook items to be picked up on the 23rd up through Monday the 20th! If you have a ham or turkey (or anything else!) that you'd like us to cook for you for Christmas, please have it to us by Monday the 20th!

It is very touching how the entire community has turned out to support the victims of the weather disaster. At Sticky Pig, we did all we could. We donated as much food as we sold Saturday, and we're about to get involved again, now that we have more product cooked.

But what really amazes me is that after we as a business had done all we can, several of our crew people and their families have gotten together to ask "what else can we do? This is great, what we're doing as a business, but what can we PERSONALLY do to help?"

A couple of them are reaching out to individual families in need to donate clothing, personal items, and toys for the kids. One of our people is even trying to organize a fundraiser/toy drive event to make Christmas better for the kids who's families lost everything.

I really don't have the words to describe how proud I am to be surrounded by these people. I've been trying for over 2 days now to figure out how to express it, and I just can't. You've made the most long-winded guy ever speechless!

Ben, Ashley, and the rest of the Sticky Pig crew would like to welcome all first responders and utility workers to stop in for a FREE COMBO MEAL today! Our community owes its thanks to all the tireless first responders and utility workers who have been out all night handling emergencies big and small.

Our hearts go out to the families that lost everything in last night's storms. We're working to see how we can be of help to them now.
