It has recently been brought to our attention that a post has been circulating online regarding the quality of our food. Specifically, a small broccoli worm was found in a broccoli dish served at our restaurant.

While we understand that fresh produce can occasionally contain insects, this incident is NOT acceptable to us at all. We were made aware of the issue at the time while the guest was dining with us, and we addressed it immediately with a personal apology and full compensation for the diner’s meal. We know that it must have been an unsettling situation to be put in, and we are sincerely sorry for the poor experience.

For transparency, our business always soaks our broccoli in a 10 minute salt bath and is thoroughly rinsed before any of our fresh produce ever reaches our wok and cooking line. This week, due to the snow storm in NYC, we had a temporary delay in food supplies that led us to purchasing produce from a local store instead. Regardless of supplier, however, our preparation and inspection standards remain the same, and we take full responsibility for what is served in our restaurant. We’ll be taking measures to prevent this issue for future customers.

We wanted to honestly address this as our customer’s trust always comes first. We take pride in having run a much beloved small business in Malone for so many years, and we appreciate everyone’s concern.

After a long two and a half months of reconstruction due to the fire, We are happy to announce that Kings Wok Buffet will be reopening THIS THURSDAY, AUGUST 7TH!

THANK YOU to everyone for the support they have given us during the rebuilding process. We appreciate all the customers that popped in to leave kind words and messages! We can’t wait to see your faces at the restaurant again. Our buffet is back up and running, ready to serve you!

To all our customers,

King’s Wok will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED until further notice due to a fire that occurred this morning on (5/28). We are sad to not be able to see our loyal patrons, but hope to serve you again soon! Plans for a definite reopening date will be posted later.
