These are the Pickle Sisters, they were a vaudeville act from the 1920’s. Their names were Margaret, Mavis, Opal, and Florence. But their stage names were Dillie, Kosher, Gherkin, and Cornichon. Go out and enjoy some pickles this weekend!

Random photo Friday! This is Dot Robinson and her daughter Betty, 15, at a motorcycle rally in Laconia, N.H., 1947. Founder of the Motor Maids of America, Dorothy "Dot" Robinson competed alongside men in endurance races during the Depression. She was also a motorcycle courier during World War II. Known as "The First Lady of Motorcycling," she estimated logging over 1.5 million miles on motorcycles throughout her lifetime. Stay safe out there while following your dream.

Random photo Friday! Anna "Annie" Edson Taylor was an American schoolteacher who, on her 63rd birthday, October 24, 1901, became the first person to survive a trip over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Her motives were financial but she never made much money from her adventure. Sadly she died penniless and her funeral was paid for by public donations. Stay safe out there.

Go see Hannah at Fenceline Cider!

In honor of International Women's Day we are proud to introduce our newest Fenceline employee: Hannah Bernat! She will be leading the charge for our new Food Truck.

Hannah is a Colorado native who has been a Mancos local for almost 5 years. She has managed various places over the last 10 years including the Strater hotel and Irish Embassy in Durango, as well as Mesa Verde. As Fenceline’s Food Manager she is looking forward to creating a flavorful menu that highlights local produce from the surrounding region and continues the tradition of community that is ever important here at Fenceline.
