Good afternoon everyone.

We ran a little behind this morning because we had to prep *everything* after selling out yesterday. So breakfast ran late and we are just now switching over to lunch.

Some supplies have literally *just* come in the back door. So we're sticking the coolers and freezers and should be back up to full speed soon..

Sorry for not having your lunch in time.

We are going to close Monday and Tuesday to regroup. Thanks for your understanding.

We are sold out of everything. We can't make the cole slaw and fries fast enough. Even the round pasties. Gone for the day.

The microbar and store are open til 10.

It's been a helluva first day in business at Scooby's.

Thank you Manistee (and surrounds). You were delightful people and your kind words make all the hard work worth it !

Close to 400 tables/tickets today, which ain't too shabby for a little 12 table eatery on a Thursday in May.

And we sold a bottle and a half of MALORT. What next ? Flying pigs ?

Made lots of new friends and visited with a few old ones.

A couple of tweaks to make, but we have our sea legs now.

The staff kicked butt. A few put in 15 hour days. We're all tired, but we'll be right back at it at 7 tomorrow morning.

We have an absolutely STELLAR staff. Show them your love when you visit.

And when we open tomorrow we have a special treat, because THE PASTIES ARE READY !

If you've been twitchin' for a Rutabaga fix, by golly it's time.

We have traditional beef, potato and Rutabaga (15 oz); Veggie (12 oz); Bierock (10 oz); Spinach Alfredo; Pepperoni Pizza (8 oz) and two 8 oz BREAKFAST pasty .. egg, cheese and sausage or egg, cheese and ham.

Pasties are baked every morning, fresh, hot, YOOPER AUTHENTIC, ready and FAST if you're looking for something to run in and grab or pick up at the drive thru window on the way to work.

It's been a crazy day.

A slight mid-afternoon breath being caught before the dinner crowd.

Over 150 tickets/tables by noon. Sold out of beef (don't worry, more out soon)

Below is a combo that we've sold 6 of today and hadn't even imagined.

The pork ribs, smothered in Phil's US31 BBQ relish.

It's yummy.

Still wrapping up the loose ends tonight, getting ready for an early morning tomorrow.

I don't have the digital menu file at the fingertips right now, but here are images of the breakfast, lunch/dinner and beverage menus. Also ice cream and soda fountain items and plenty more in the deli.

We're developing a curated GRILLED CHEESE that will have its own menu page in a bit. You'll have a lot of lunch options with that one starting at the old traditional GC on Texas toast for $5 bucks. Lots of custom options to come.

One note to clarify ... our design is as a diner and deli with drive thru. Most of our indoor seating is two and four seaters with only a couple of 6-tops. So before you load up all the kinfolk, keep group size in mind. Plenty of room for larger gatherings outdoors at the umbrella tables, weather permitting.
