Recently we have been introducing our employees, but today we would like to focus on a guest of ours. Gordon (Gordy) Anderson recently passed away. He has been coming to Happy Chef for about 50 years. As a North Mankato police officer of 30 years he would stop in with other officers for a coffee break and after retirement he would be here with other retirees. Gordy always asked how our day was going or what was new with us or giving us advice. We always knew what time it was when we saw him walk in with a wave and a smile. Our hearts are truly sad this week, but we know our current and former employees all have a great Gordy story or memory. Rest in peace Gordy you will be very much missed at table 5. ❤️

Let's meet Savannah! She has been with us for 3 years, starting as a busser and working her way through the kitchen, dish room, waitressing and hosting. She is a recent graduate of Mankato West and South Central with an AA degree. She will be furthering her studies in Wisconsin majoring in Wildlife Ecology and management. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with our guests and making kids smile 😊.
Savannah likes to go to concerts and hang out with her 7 pets. She also recently had a birthday , the big 18! Next time you're in stop and say hi to her.
