In North Missouri, Linn County probably packs one of the biggest punches for prominent Americans in the state. General John Pershing is one. The other spent some of his boyhood in Marceline. A pivotal town for the development of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Rail Line but also the inspiration for what Disney fans know as “Main Street USA”. This was Walt’s home and inspiration for the entrance to his parks. Stopped at Ma Vics for a “Dusty Miller” This is a must stop if you’re rolling down Highway 36 in North Missouri!
