Dear Marietta,

Eight years ago, we opened our doors to you as Emanuel’s / TLV Restaurant. We brought flavors from afar to this wonderful town, introducing you to a cuisine that was close to our hearts. Today, we announce that on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 8 pm, we’ll be closing those same doors for the last time.

These eight years have been nothing short of extraordinary. We’ve had the privilege of being part of your birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, and Tuesday night dinners. We’ve shared laughter, stories, and moments of joy, creating memories together that have enriched our lives.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for welcoming us into this vibrant community. For becoming not just our patrons, but our friends. You’ve allowed us to share our love for food with you, for which we are deeply grateful.

As we prepare to turn the page, we invite you to join us one last time today and tomorrow during our regular hours. We hope to fill these last moments with the same warmth, joy, and delicious food that have defined TLV Restaurant for all these years.

While it’s time to say goodbye to TLV, it’s not a farewell to the friendships and connections we’ve made. Those will always remain.

Thank you, Marietta, for embracing us, for dining with us, and for making these past eight years an incredible journey. Here’s to cherishing the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future.

It’s official!
Friday 4th of August 2023 at 6pm!!!
One person will walk home with $1000 dollars!!!!!!
Rules:
As you may understand. This is a challenge. And as such. It will not be easy.
1. You must finish first
2. You must finish within 20 min
3. You must remain seated for 20 more min
4. You get one glass of water.
5. No restroom breaks.
6. We will inspect to make sure you do not cheat.
If you can not hold 20 min without going to the restroom we recommend you see a urologist! (Our favorite one is Dr. C.W).
7. You must register by sending us a message
8. You will sign a waiver
9. There’s a regular cost of 17.5 dollars for the dish. You can take the remains home and it’s a great conversation piece! Mess around with your homies.
10. If you puke. Make a mess. Or anything. YOU CLEAN AFTER YOURSELF!!!

People are welcome to come and watch!!! Send us a message so we will make sure we have room.

Our special cheese or spinach Denise (save-or-e) are only one dollar. Yes. Our New York bagels sneaked to the picture. But they deserve it as they have a league of their own. As real bagels made from scratch. We now offer those savoriesb and some other items - for just 1 dollar!

😈👹 EPIC celebrity FAIL! Blazing Baby Billy! A celebrity in the spicy food field. BBB came to us after hearing of our Death Curry challenge!!! His words. “I will pay double if I fail. But you’ll pay me double if I make it”. For those who do not know. We currently offer 100 dollars for the first person to finish the death curry (and have a 1000 dollars. Challenge on Aug 4th to whoever finish it first).
Luckily, lady Gaga here accepted the challenge. 200 dollars if Blazing ( stands for Billy’s Legendary Appetite Zings) Baby Billy finish it. I even gave him coffee.
Cut things short. I made 35 bucks.
I even counter offer Billy that if he makes it 4!!!! Bites. I give him 50 bucks. (He was on second bite).
I still made 35 bucks 😂😂😂
I was told Billy (who later ran to the bathroom to “pee” for 35 min) gave a bite to all of his friends. 3 claimed they gonna come do the Aug 4th challenge.
Now blazing here isn’t a normal dude. He is a spicy food celebrity. And eats every challenge he finds. To (claimed) never failed. He now came up with conspiracy theory that I use alien spicy peppers from out of space (England btw).
Another conspiracy theory on me isn’t a bad thing. So I don’t mind.

It’s time for the ultimate 1000 dollars challenge!!! 💰💸💵🤑🤑
Our “death” curry is HOT. Like REAL HOT.
We tried to motivate you with $100. Ended up with an ambulance.
For one day only. We will be offering $1000 dollars! Yes. You read it right.
We NEED someone to confront DEATH in the face and won’t puke!
So. As a goodbye gift. We decided to hand $1000 dollars to the first person that will come on Friday 4th of August 2023. And finish the DEATH curry!
$1000 dollars!!!! Cash. And a picture for our wall
The rules?
One plate of death curry (after you sign a waiver)
20 minutes.
Water only.
No restroom. No disappearing.
Must stay seated for another 20 min after done.
Basically up to 40 minutes of fear buys you 1000 dollars!
That’s like idk a lot of money by the hour (1333.33333?)
Plate must be emptied.
One person must complete it. Eat it all.
How spicy is it?
One said that our curry “7” is spicier than the chips challenge. And the death is a “10”
So it’s spicy.
To participate you must send us a message with the time you plan to come and your name. We will then confirm that we have an opening for that time. There will be no walk ins for the challenge.

Is it possible that our heritage as a middle eastern restaurant will be a peanut butter chicken salad that doesn’t even exists?????? 🧐😤😡😠
This is probably the most interesting post we had in a year. So you want to read it 👓📖📚🔖
The EZUGI chicken salad turned out to be a HUGE success. But in fact IT DOES NOT EXISTS!!!
Let’s start with some comments we had on our EZUGI peanut butter fried noodles on top of lettuce with grilled chicken on top and dressing - NOT REAL salad.
“I was once in Asia and had it and since then I was looking for a place that serves it”
“I have allergies to everything in your menu besides this and it’s the only thing I can eat” (btw peanut allergy is the most common one. Then oil. But ok).
“We want to have 8 dish tapas sharing. All 8 EZUGI please”
“Omg it’s the best Asian salad I had in my life”
Ok. Done with some comments. Now to the reality.
In the last two weeks we hired the best social media manager money can not buy - to make professional posts. Clearly. They suck. Because my posts gets much more attention (for good or bad) and I don’t care if I lose money. I like freedom of speech more.
Now. EZUGI. Since we are in 2023 and it is - our last year of service. Before I retire into the cold Ohio sunset
Back in 2016 - Emanuel’s owners (TLV is Emanuel’s. Let’s be honest. We only change the name. Still same dude makes your food). Back in 2016 two people ran the restaurant. The beautiful one (Jenny) and the ugly one (not Jenny). Back then they had a bet. What would people like more. Jenny made an amazing Asian salad with sesame. Special avocado oil. Fresh fish. It looked like a piece of art. Not Jenny decided to take lettuce. Fried noodles from a different salad. Toss some carrots. A skewer of shishlik. And a peanut dressing salad with some spices. Honey and some stuff Not Jenny found on the shelf. To make it Asian Not Jenny did two things. 1. Put sesame seeds on top. 2. Have a name sound Asian. EZUGI is a Hebrew word describing numbers that are odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9). It sounds Asian. Cool. Jenny said no one will buy it.
Well. 7 years later. It’s history. EZUGI is our third most selling dish. After curry chicken and hummus. Everything else? Can’t even reach EZUGI salad apparently.
So. TLV heritage will be, basically, a dish that doesn’t exists. And for that we will be the most remembered for (and apparently the skin line between a shirt and a pants of one of our employees.).
So. Want to experience a dish that WAS MADE AND CREATED IN MARIETTA OHIO???? The middle eastern restaurant is the only one to make one. And turn to be a national success! The EZUGI damn salad. 🤣
Want the recipe? Here it is
1. Lettuce
2. Carrot
3. Grilled chicken in soy sauce
4. Fried rice noodles
5. Peanut butter dressing with sugar and honey. Vinegar of all kind. And some soy sauce.
12 bucks and it’s yours. For just couple more months.

Well, howdy partners! 😄 Get ready to saddle up for a vegan vittles voyage at our dear TLV Restaurant!

Y'all ever heard of our Vegan Paradise? 🌱 It's as jam-packed as a squirrel's den in autumn! We got a heaping pile of baba ganoush, hummus falafel, seasoned rice with tofu, and four mushroom empanadas. Tastier than Grandma's Sunday gravy, and not a critter in sight!

Now I'm as much of a beef-and-biscuits man as any other West Virginian mountain dweller, but I reckon we ought to show some love for our bovine buddies, too! 🐮 Let's swap the cowboy boots for some carrot sticks, 'least for a meal or two!

There's a reason we're rated the highest in the county over on the "Happy Cow" website 🐄. We're proving you can be both kind-hearted to our animal friends and eat like a horse at a hay buffet!

Howdy y'all! 🌵 Hope you're feelin' as spry as a long-tail cat in a room full of rockin' chairs! It's time to chat about our dandy falafel burger.

Yup, you heard right! Our burg ain't no regular joe, it's a Falafel Burger! Now ain't that as welcome as a skunk at a lawn party in these parts? Stuffed in our homemade pita bread with a slatherin' of hummus, lettuce, pickles, tomato and tahini - it's as satisfying as findin' a parking spot at the county fair.

But hold your horses! We’ve got a special secret sauce - a mango-curry concoction called Amba. Sweeter than a West Virginian sunrise and with a kick as surprising as findin' a c**n in your corncrib! Choose your two favorite sidekicks to ride along, just like our Mountaineer football team on a Saturday night.

Now here's the knee-slapper - a fancy nationwide website had folks vote for the best burger in town. And guess what? We came out on top! Beating out regular burgers with our falafel burger, black bean burger, wild salmon burger, and - hold onto your britches - our bacon boiled with maple syrup waffle burger! Yep, it's as crazy and tasty as a racc**n dancin' the hoedown!

So come on down and give it a try! We reckon it’ll be love at first bite.
