Important Announcement from Afghan Flavors
It is with deep sadness that we share some difficult news. We were recently informed that The Garage on King will be closing, and all restaurants and vendors have been asked to vacate in the coming weeks. Our final day of operation will be April 5, 2026.
This came as a shock to many of us. After investing so much hard work, time, and money into building our small businesses here, this sudden closure is very difficult. With the rising costs of food, labor, and rent, some vendors may not have the opportunity to reopen elsewhere.
During these last few weeks, we truly hope our community can come out to support the small businesses that have worked so hard to serve Martinsburg.
Afghan Flavors Restaurant will be offering:
π½ Buffet this Friday starting at 4 PM
π₯ Weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM β 1 PM
π Our regular menu will also continue to be available.
We invite everyone to visit, enjoy the food, and support all the amazing vendors here before we close. Your support during this time means more than ever to all of us.
Thank you, Martinsburg, for supporting small businesses and being part of our journey. β€οΈ
After an incredible journey, The Garage on King will conclude food hall operations on April 5, 2026, as the property prepares for its next chapter.
When we opened our doors, the goal was simple. Create a place in Downtown Martinsburg where new restaurant ideas could launch, where entrepreneurs could test concepts with lower risk, and where the community could gather around great food and shared experiences.
Over the past two years, The Garage became a true restaurant incubator for Martinsburg. The space hosted 15 different food concepts, processed more than 140,000 customer orders, and welcomed thousands of visitors into downtown. Along the way, The Garage held community events, fundraisers, private dinners, and meetings that brought new energy to the district.
Most importantly, the project helped local chefs and small business owners take their first steps. Several vendors who started at The Garage are now positioned to pursue their own independent brick and mortar locations in Downtown Martinsburg. Supporting that type of entrepreneurial growth was always at the heart of the project.
We are proud of the role The Garage played in strengthening the local food scene and contributing to the continued revitalization of downtown.
We want to thank every vendor, employee, customer, and community partner who supported The Garage over the past two years. Your creativity, energy, and belief in the project are what made the space special.
The Garage will remain open through Sunday, April 5, and we invite everyone to stop by, support the vendors, and enjoy the final weeks of this chapter.
Downtown Martinsburg has a bright future ahead, and we look forward to continuing to play a role in its growth.
Thank you for being part of The Garage.
