Friday morning nov 11 haley was getting ready for school this all started with what we thought was a stuffy nose and a headache. Haley went to use the bathroom and was found seized on the floor. Cpr was started on her while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Haley was taken to gunderson in Hillsboro where they had to preform live saving measures on her. She had a ct scan done which showed the main blood vessel to her brain had burst. She was then med flown to American children hospital in madison. She made it through a very invasive surgery to which then we played the waiting game. We did find out what had caused this was haley was born this hidden problem. Her blood vessel in her head on the right side were all twisted together and over time this would be the result. It could have been caught early on if haley had displayed any types of headaches, seizures, or epilepsy. On Saturday she had an mri done to see what kind of brain activity she had left. Her scan showed there was activity but not where it should have been following her recovery from surgery. Her mri showed that while haley was unconscious and at the hospital she was having strokes due to lack of oxygen and blood flow to the brain. Last night it was confirmed that are sweet 13 year girl will never wake up and the rest of her brain will die over time. We as a family made the choice that haley will be an organ donor to potentially save the lives of up to 8 other children. She loved everyone and loved helping others. As a family and with her mom's wishes they be doing cremation when the time comes to keep haley with us.
Please help them with putting her sweet sole to rest when the time comes.
