Japan 2026 - #1

Our visit begins in Shizuoka where it all began in 2024. We are revisiting the Naturalitea farm where we will stay for 3 days. During those 3 days we have 3 additional areas where we will be stopping by to meet new folks.

The weather is humid and hot. It’s been very rainy the past week so all the culverts still run wild with mini water streams.

My travel partner is - a tea instructor from Sakurai tea bar in Tokyo. We will be taking the whole trip together and how grateful am I that she wanted to tag along! The ease of conversation with all the new producers, blenders, and farmers we meet has been a huge boon to our overall “getting-along-ness”

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, Mebane!

If you’re a fan of heat, then this weekend is something to look forward to, however, if you find yourself melting a little too much, stop by to grab a cold drink and a relaxing (Air Conditioned) seat!

COMING JULY 4TH, EVERYBODY! We are running it back one more time this summer and hitting y’all with a SECOND summer special menu. This time featuring:

The Taste of Spring: A ceremonial matcha latte made with fresh mint grown here at Flight! - this one is such a big returning fav, that we just had to bring it back for y’all

Flight Thai Tea - this is our own version of classic Thai tea. We’ve opted to omit the “premade mixes or tea blends” and instead grind fresh, organic spices with our very own “Classic Ceylon” black tea. We’ve also subbed out the condensed milk for our lighter and fluffier salted cream top which compliments the spices perfectly. We don’t claim this to be authentic… but we DO claim it to be delicious!!

The Lake Day is a refreshing matcha spritz that uses a hot brew of passionfruit lemon jam and ginger chunks as the base sweetness. It is extraordinarily refreshing!

All of these release on July 4th!! We are so excited to serve you then as we will be open our regular Friday hours of 11-6pm!
