We’re excited to welcome visitors from near and far as Medora celebrates the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library!

We want to help clear up some confusion: Medora is open to everyone, and visitors are welcome to drive into town. There is no restriction limiting access to local residents only.

Due to the large number of guests expected during opening events, parking in town may be limited at times. Visitors will have several options, including parking in designated areas outside of town and taking a shuttle into Medora. If you prefer, you may also drive into town and use available public parking spaces.

For those planning to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park, driving into town may be the most convenient option, allowing you to continue your adventure with your vehicle.

Whether you’re here for the Library opening, a day trip, or a weekend getaway, we encourage you to explore Medora’s unique shops, restaurants, attractions, and beautiful Badlands scenery. Our businesses are open and ready to welcome you!
