Cedar's Cafe

Cedar's Cafe Modern Mediterranean & Northern Lebanese Restaurant with a local, ethical & sustainable sourcing bas A few years in she was joined by her daughter Chef Toni M.
(619)

We opened to the public in June 2004 by Chef Marlene Elkhouri, who brought traditional Northern Lebanese Creations to life. Elkhouri, who takes a more progressive/ modern take on classic Mediterranean & Lebanese dishes. Our dishes are created by combining 4 key points based on respect. First, respect the ingredients. Always source locally & sustainable. Our farmers, ranchers & provers help create

a taste that is all of its own. Second, respect the origin of the dish. Each creation starts by researching the original old school way of making it, the idea isn't to improve the dish but to translate it using ingredients that are available locally and move it forward. Third, respect the season. We are a slow food restaurant, which means we use what's in season and actively make those items the stars of the dish. Lastly, respect the story. Each dish has a story, be it traditional one or based on our travels & experiences, each dish tells a story.

You wait all year for this… and it’s almost time.

June = Burger Month at Cedars Café.
The grills are heating up, the burgers are stacked, and the monthly obsession officially returns June 3. 🔥

Juicy patties. Messy bites. Zero regrets.
Mark your calendars — burger season is back.

We're taking a little break — and we'll be back before you miss us! 🌿

Cedars Café will be closed May 17–22 while we take a quick trip out of state. We'll be back — rested, recharged, and ready to cook — when we reopen

Happy National Hummus Day from Cedars Café

Creamy. Garlicky. Drizzled with olive oil and made the way it should be.

Hummus isn’t just a dip in Lebanese culture, it’s the center of the table. The thing everyone reaches for first. Pita, good company, and one more scoop even when you’re full.

Today we’re celebrating the dish that somehow manages to be comfort food, snack, appetizer, and full personality trait all at once. 😌
How do you like it best?

Heads up from the kitchen… tomato prices are surging, and it’s not by accident.

A 25 lb. case of Extra Large tomatoes jumped from $75 to as high as $127 in a matter of weeks. Large beefsteaks that were $70 are now running $89–$98. That’s a 50–70% spike.

Here’s what’s actually driving it: fertilizer costs have been hammering small and mid-size farmers for years. The big agricultural conglomerates can absorb those input costs or lock in long-term contracts, independent growers can’t. So they raise prices, scale back, or get squeezed out entirely. Less competition. Less supply. Higher prices for everyone downstream.

The farmer isn’t getting rich off this. The guys at the top of the supply chain are.

As chefs, we feel it first. So we adapt, roasting to stretch yield, rotating in seasonal alternatives, building menus that aren’t held hostage to a single ingredient.
Know your supply chain. Support independent growers when you can. And keep cooking smart. 🍅

April is National Arab American Heritage Month, and we’re honoring it the way we know best — through food, story, and community.

At Cedars Café, every plate is a love letter to the flavors of the Levant — recipes passed down through generations, made with the same warmth that has always defined Arab hospitality.

Come in this month, share a meal, and celebrate a heritage that nourishes the soul. 🫒✨

There’s something special about wines from North Lebanon, mountain air, ancient soil, and generations of craft in every bottle.

We’re excited to share the newest additions to our collection at Cedars Cafe: a beautifully expressive lineup of northern Lebanese wines that capture the spirit of the region. Bright, layered, and full of character, these bottles tell stories of high-altitude vineyards, coastal breezes, and bold winemaking traditions.

From crisp and refreshing to deeply aromatic and textured, each wine offers a different glimpse into one of Lebanon’s most captivating terroirs.

Come discover them with us, because great food deserves great wine, and these are truly worth the pour.
