Greetings everyone. We have been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to post, but I felt compelled to reach out today with a brief message.
Rumors of a Tsunami after party tonight have been grossly exaggerated. Last call will be at 9:30. These last two weeks have been a veritable Groundhog Day of high-intensity, New Year’s Eve-level shifts. We have been overwhelmed with the level of support and goodwill from so many people. We have heard so many wonderful Tsunami related stories and anecdotes. We understand that many of you were not able to get in to say your last goodbyes, and we regret that. But please understand this; my staff has been working at full capacity, every shift, in an emotionally charged atmosphere for two weeks. We are all physically and emotionally drained. This night, our last shift ever, will be especially poignant for all of us. We will need time, after the last sea bass is served and the last wine poured, to reflect and reminisce and tell our own stories, as a family. And come to terms with what has happened. We thank you all for your support and understanding. -Ben Smith
