Today we celebrate the lady that keeps us all running, the grounding that keeps us all tethered, and the listening ear when we need to vent (even if she's heard every industry complaint in the book). She loves fiercely, supports vehemently, and keeps her plate full for everyone around her. This place wouldn't mean what it does to us without her constant participation. Happy birthday, Ms. Martha. Thank you for everything you do. 🥂

As an industry worker, I can't imagine the atmosphere for the crew at Tsunami as they close out their final closing together. Most people don't know the before and after of the service industry. The relationships you develop with people you're in the trenches with every night, people you may hate at the peak of a busy night, but still know you're making them a drink at the end of the shift for the french fry apology you got earlier. It's a special kind of dysfunctional family where everyone belongs. It's special, and our hearts go out to you.
Cooper/Young, Midtown, and Memphis as a whole are grieving the loss of such an amazing Memphis staple. How are we ever going to convince Martha to close during bad weather if Tsunami doesn't do it first?
