Thanks to you for your business today (Friday the 15th)!!
We sold out of several regular items and other ingredients as well as a sudden family health issue came up late today.

So we’re closing one day earlier (Saturday) than previously announced.

We’ll be back June 10.

I want to give some clarity to the reason for Artisans 3 week closing.
1. We have an extremely dependable and competent crew working with us.
Several things came together at once requiring three of them (3 out of 6) to be away at the same time. Two are college age so they either went home for the summer or are pursuing new opportunities. All are legitimate and we’re supportive.
Attempts to find and hire new folks hasn’t paid off yet. Donna and Rick simply aren’t physically able to pick up the slack.

2. Our customers are very loyal and understanding. Every year we take a planned month off. You all faithfully return to support what we do. This time it’s a bit different, unusual and challenging. We’re not giving in! We will reopen as soon as we can hire and train additional employees that exhibit the qualities that are essential for continuing the level of service we expect to deliver.

We’ll post updates as things move forward.

Thank you all!!

04/05/2026

Our features for the upcoming week will be posted by Tuesday.

On a side note:
Most local residents are aware that Mena has seen several restaurants close over the last several months. It’s also well known that the Trails at Mena are predicted to bring more visitors in the long term as they are completed.

Those visitors, as well as long time residents, anticipate new businesses that include dining options. Rick and Donna have succeeded in building American Artisans into a unique and profitable operation over the last 14 years.

It’s now time to consider retirement. The business is positioned for new ownership to maintain, expand or reimagine the existing concept.

If you have thoughts about owning an ongoing business in a prime location let’s talk.
