In Loving Memory of My Princess Kiki : 7/25/2009

Today, I remember my beautiful daughter, Princess Kiki.

Though the years have passed, not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Your life, though far too short, changed mine forever. I miss your smile, your presence, and all the moments we never got to share.

As much as my heart still aches, I find comfort in knowing that God called you home. I trust that you are resting peacefully in His loving arms.

Your memory continues to inspire me to keep going, to love deeply, to serve others, and to live with purpose. Everything I do is a reminder that love never dies.

Until we meet again, my sweet girl, may your soul continue to rest in eternal peace.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever my daughter. 🙏🏽💖

🥣 Drea’s Kitchen Green Plantain Porridge (Skin-On Twist)

Ingredients:

* 2 green plantains (washed thoroughly, skin left on)
* 1 cup coconut milk
* 4 cups water
* 2–3 tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to your preferred sweetness)
* Condensed milk, to taste (for extra creaminess and sweetness)
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)
* ½ teaspoon nutmeg (or to taste)
* ½ teaspoon almond extract or to taste)
* 2–3 cinnamon leaves
* A few pieces of orange peel
* Pinch of salt (optional, but helps balance the flavors)

Instructions:

1. Wash the green plantains thoroughly. Cut off the ends and cut into pieces while keeping the skin on.
2. Blend the plantain pieces with the coconut milk and enough of the water until smooth and creamy.
3. In a pot, bring the remaining water to a gentle simmer with cinnamon leaves and orange peel to infuse the flavors.
4. Slowly add the blended plantain mixture while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
5. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, almond extract,vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Continue stirring as the porridge thickens.
6. Sweeten with brown sugar and condensed milk to your taste.
(Or sweetener of your choice)
7. Simmer on low heat until the porridge is smooth, creamy, and has your desired thickness.
8. Remove the cinnamon leaves and orange peel before serving.

Serve warm and enjoy a comforting Jamaican classic with Drea’s Kitchen’s special twist!
Add crackers of choice on top (Optional)

Tip: The longer it cooks on low heat, the richer and smoother the texture becomes. Stir often because plantain porridge loves attention. 😊

Don’t let the purple cabbage fool you…look at this beautiful color! 💖

Made with:
🥬 Purple cabbage
🍍 Fresh pineapple
🍏 Green apple
🫚 Fresh ginger
🍋‍🟩Fresh lime

✨ No sugar added.
✨ No water added.

Directions:

1. Wash all ingredients well.
2. Cut them into pieces that fit your juicer.
3. Juice the purple cabbage, pineapple, green apple, and ginger.
4. Stir in the fresh lime juice.
5. Let cool in refrigerator or Pour over ice and enjoy!

Made with fresh cucumber, green apple, chayote, ginger, and lime.

✔️ No sugar added
✔️ No water added
✔️ Naturally refreshing

Perfect for Wellness Wednesday and a delicious way to enjoy more fresh fruits and vegetables!
Ingredients:

* 2 cucumber
* 2 green apples
* 1 chayote, peeled and seeded
* 1-inch piece fresh ginger
* Juice of 1 fresh lime

Optional:

* 1–2 celery stalks (if you enjoy the flavor)

Directions:

1. Wash all the fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
2. Cut everything into pieces that fit your juicer.
3. Run the cucumber, green apples, chayote, and ginger through the juicer.
4. Stir in the fresh lime juice.
5. Pour over ice and enjoy!
