SUNDAY Open 11-5pm

What an incredibly busy Saturday we had! I’m proud of our team for working as hard as they possibly could. Three guys on the hot line from 10 AM until 11 PM, serving 230 tables throughout the day. Plus the rest of awesome support staff.

Were we perfect? No. But every single person hustled, stayed positive, and gave it everything they had. In today’s staffing climate, that’s all I can ask.

Thank you for your continued patronage, patience, and understanding. We appreciate those who understand summer pace in a seasonal tourist spot with staffing challenges.

We’re back at it today with the few Soft Shell Crabs we have left, along with our full menu. Please join us.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first patio night of the season! The crew did an awesome job, and a special thanks goes to our kitchen team who kept pushing all night long. Another nod to our regular who was a competitor on the Wheel of Fortune last night- we found time to find you on TV! (Sorry to those waiting for a cocktail, we were excited!)

We're back at it Saturday from 11am-10pm. Today's features are Soft Shell Crab (until run out) and Walleye. And if you haven't tried the Marlborough Oysters from New Zealand yet, you really should. They're clean, crisp, high salinity and taste like a large Kusshi!

It's a family affair in the kitchen!

THURSDAY

I’m grateful to have a few dozen softshell crabs coming in daily this week, so tonight’s features will be Softshell Crab and Lake Walleye.

And in honor of Throwback Thursday, I put together a little compilation of my family in the kitchen. It feels like just yesterday some of these photos were taken. Now my boys are growing up and finding their own paths. They both still love cooking for fun, but neither one plans on making a career out of the Fish Camp kitchen.

Time moves fast (Bueller?😂) Grateful for the memories, the chaos, and the people who’ve shared and make their memories with us at Fish Camp.

As a sidenote, we will open the patio slowly this weekend. Thanks for your patience and kindness as our new kitchen adjusts to the increase in volume of service.

It’s going to be a GOOD day at Fish Camp.

Open 3pm–9pm tonight and I just got a text from my guy who drives to the Chicago market daily… he found some available Soft Shell Crab.

SATURDAY
Weather may be a bummer, but all the reason to treat yourself to a beautiful lunch! This Halibut truly is a luxury fish, incredibly fresh and delicious. I was proud when this left our kitchen last night! We were happy also to see all you music fans in house for Live at the Lakefront, and happy to host the band for dinner. Kim at the bar this morning and ready for you at 11. Looks the the drizzle will be gone by late afternoon and sun will come out!
