We’ve recently been teasing some big news and are finally ready to share! We are taking the cafe mobile! You have spent years coming to us, and it’s only right that we can now bring it to you! Starting in Summer of ‘26, Cosmic Cafe will begin hosting pop-ups in different spots around KY. Every appearance will be an event, complete with great vibes, music, and the comfy feelings of Cosmic Cafe at every turn.

We will be providing all of our favorite desert items, so that delicious skillet cookie is here to stay. Additionally, we will be further expanding upon our existing items, and making them as best as they can be. Every milkshake will be a party!

Additionally, we will soon be soft-launching an online order system, where anyone can order a custom pint of any of our delicious house-made flavors at any time of the year, regardless of what’s in-season. Pumpkin Cheesecake Cosmic Cafe Ice Cream in July? No problem. Peanut Butter Fudge flavor? Anytime.

With all of these exciting new changes, we have made the decision to close the current brick-and-mortar Cosmic Cafe location as of December 1st, 2025. While we know this may be disappointing to many of our long-time customers, know that we haven’t made the call lightly. Since this summer, we have been weighing the decision to go online/mobile and have the utmost confidence that this will allow us to create even more exciting flavors and maximize the delicious product we can deliver. No worries though; Middlesboro, KY, will always be our home base. Our mobile efforts will be rooted and focused at home first and foremost. We will always be around💜

We’ll be speaking more on all of these new developments over the coming days here on the page, so keep eyes out 👀. Much love to our community for bringing us the freedom to explore this exciting new phase of our family’s business…we’re already working on our next flavor😍 The best homemade ice cream in Middlesboro is just getting started.

New Hours! We’ve heard you all asking for us to be open earlier and longer on weekends, and we’re here to deliver. Starting this week, we will be open 12:00-9:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, and our regular hours on Fridays and Mondays. You’ll notice that we are also going to be closed on Thursdays as well. This will allow us extra prep time on our delicious house-made flavors, so we have even more delectable selections for you to enjoy! We’re so excited to have the opportunity to expand the creativity of our homemade items, and look forward to seeing everyone Friday at 3:00!
