Sorry I’ve been quiet, I’ve been doing other things.
I have been feeling led into the school system for a while. This year I ended up at Legacy working with the amazing Mrs. Woerndle in Culinary Arts. I’ll save a more descriptive post (future of Sugar & Almonds type of stuff) for later when I have more time. Right now I want to tell you about our amazing students.
We have high schoolers coming to the kitchen on days there’s no school to prep for this event. There’s passion and talent here. There’s willingness to work and I never hear complaints. I see a lot of servant hearted leaders and role models. These students have brought me so much joy, I’m very proud of them. I didn’t know what to expect getting into this, but I’m so glad I did.
Midland, please show up and support local restaurants and culinary arts programs. I’d love for you to come speak encouragement and support over all of the students. These establishments and learning programs are working hard to bring you an amazing experience and showcase their talent. There will be a lot of food, come and eat it!
