Millville FFA Celebrates Outstanding Success at 97th Pennsylvania FFA State Convention
Millville, PA – Members of the Millville FFA Chapter recently attended the 97th Pennsylvania FFA State Convention held at The Pennsylvania State University, where they represented their chapter with distinction and brought home several prestigious honors.
Leading the chapter's accomplishments was sophomore Ainsley Eckroth, who earned 1st Place in the Pennsylvania FFA Talent Competition. Her outstanding performance showcased both her talent and dedication, earning recognition among FFA members from across the Commonwealth.
The Millville FFA Chapter was also recognized for its commitment to community service. The chapter earned 1st Place in the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank Community Service Challenge after contributing the highest number of volunteer service hours among participating FFA chapters. This achievement reflects the chapter's ongoing dedication to serving others and addressing food insecurity within local communities.
In addition, Millville FFA earned 1st Place in the National Chapter Award competition, recognizing the chapter's excellence in developing and implementing activities focused on growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture. The award highlights the hard work and dedication of chapter members throughout the year.
In addition to these chapter awards, several Millville FFA members competed in Career and Leadership Development Events throughout the convention. Participants included Logan Jacobs, who competed in both the Talent and Veterinary Science contests; Sophia Haden in Floriculture; Hailey Phillips, Azzy Hughes, Tavon Force-Miller, and Tevan Force-Miller in Food Science; and Ella Shultz in Extemporaneous Public Speaking. Their participation demonstrated the diverse talents, agricultural knowledge, and leadership skills developed through agricultural education and FFA.
“These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication, leadership, and service-minded attitude of our FFA members,” said advisor Nicole Hall. “I am incredibly proud of the work our students have put in to make a positive impact in our school, community, and agricultural industry.”
The Pennsylvania FFA State Convention brings together thousands of FFA members from across the state to celebrate student achievement, develop leadership skills, and recognize excellence in agricultural education. The Millville FFA Chapter's success at this year's convention reflects the strength of the chapter and the commitment of its members to the FFA motto: Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.
