For the past few years, Corner Coffee has loved to be a part of Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis. We’ll be bringing our coffee cart to the lobby of the Casket Arts Building for every day of the event next weekend (May 15-17), so stop by and say hello before you explore all of the incredible open studios in the main building and the carriage house!

New Hours at Camden Start May 11th!

Starting on Monday, May 11th, Corner Coffee Camden will be extending hours and staying open until 5pm going forward! We are excited to welcome in more members of the community and provide a space to land later in the day.

How We Choose Coffee

Flavor points us in the right direction.
Story helps us understand the value.

Every so often someone asks us a simple question: “How do you choose your coffee?”

The short answer is: we taste a lot of coffee.

The better answer is: we are trying to hold a few things together that do not always fit neatly.

Flavor. Story. Price. Traceability. Relationships. The people drinking the coffee. The people growing it. The people roasting it. The people serving it across the counter at 7:18 on a Tuesday morning.

There is the theory of what we believe, and then there is the actual practice of making choices.

We hope we are getting better at closing that gap all the time. But I will be the first to say we are not finished. We have not arrived. We are still learning how to aim more clearly and act more faithfully.

That matters because coffee is never just coffee.

A new 2026 report recently showed that 85% of coffee drinkers are brewing at home right now, the highest rate in 14 years. This report could cause anyone who works in coffee to panic, but we aren’t panicking.

The neighborhood cafe has never just been a caffeine delivery system. It has always been a place where you can have an accidental conversation with a neighbor, create a familiar face you see every week until you learn their name, and gradually turn your street, your neighborhood, into a place that feels more human.

In a culture where life is increasingly fragmented, remote, individualized, and screen-mediated, the places that create real-world proximity become more valuable, not less.

One More Study Night!

One more Study Night before the end of the school year! We've loved hosting these events for the last several months. As a coffee shop that normally closes at 3pm, we love getting to welcome in the community later in the day!
