Come get a taste what fresh-milled flour actually does for flavor and aroma (and obtw nutrition)! ๐พ
We're at Oregon Trail Days craft fair in Gering, and Grand Republic's booth has stone-milled Bread Flour, All-purpose, and Pastry flour ready for you to take home โ plus a full table of baked goods made from that same flour if you want to jump all the way to the finished bakes!
And that table has barely had a chance to breathe today. Blueberry scones ๐ซ, rye brownies ๐ซ, fresh peach pies with caramel ๐ฅง, honey oat bread ๐, sourdough brown butter toffee chocolate chip cookies ๐ช, carmelitas (the greatest oat, Carmel, chocolate bar ever), our own Prairie Gold granola, and honey vanilla marshmallows ๐ฏ โ all proof of what fresh-milled flour brings to a bake. It's moving fast enough that we're not sure everything makes it to 5:00. โฐ (Which is also why this post is going up so late โ we've been slammed. ๐)
We're taking that as a sign. ๐ Milling was always the plan โ but if people keep responding like this, we may need to talk seriously about getting into the baking business too. ๐ค
