Today, we honor and remember Chef Douglas — a mentor, teacher, supporter, and true friend to Fresh Fruit Cafe.

Chef Douglas played such an important role in the growth and development of our cafe. From bringing his students to visit and learn with us, to the encouraging text messages, thoughtful advice, referrals, and guidance that helped keep us moving forward, his support never went unnoticed.

He was always willing to answer a question, share wisdom, make a connection, or simply remind us to keep going. Those moments — both big and small — meant more than he probably ever realized.

We are deeply grateful for the time, knowledge, and love Chef Douglas poured into us and into the culinary community. His presence will truly be missed, but the impact he made will continue to live on through the people he mentored, taught, encouraged, and inspired.

Thank you, Chef Douglas, for believing in Fresh Fruit Cafe and for always being there when we needed guidance.

🌴🎶 SOMETHING NEW IS HAPPENING AT FRESH FRUIT CAFE! 🎶🌴

Tomorrow, we’re switching things up! In celebration of the new Jimmy Buffett attraction inside the museum, Fresh Fruit Cafe will be serving a special Jimmy B.-inspired menu featuring island flavors, Southern favorites, and a little taste of paradise. 🍔🍍🌺

Come check out the new attraction, enjoy the waterfront views, and grab something delicious while you’re here!
