WE’RE CLOSING OUT OCTOBER IN A BIG WAY AT QUEEN BEAN COFFEE & SOCIAL HOUSE!

Opera, comedy, poetry, film, vinyl, and a little Halloween madness! SEVEN events in ONE week! If you’ve ever wondered what makes Queen Bean such a unique gathering space, just look at this lineup! ❤️

Here’s what’s happening:

🥂 SUN 10/25 | 11 AM–1 PM — MELODIES & MIMOSAS! Enjoy a relaxing Sunday brunch with live music by Made by Leia!

🎭 SUN 10/25 | 6–8 PM — CURTAIN CALL CAFÉ! Opera Modesto brings Broadway, musical theater, and opera to our stage with a 1950s Sock Hop-themed open mic!

😂 TUE 10/27 | 7:30–9 PM — COMEDY OPEN MIC! Some of the funniest (and most unpredictable) comedians around take over our historic front porch!

🎤 WED 10/28 | 7:30–9:30 PM — POETRY SLAM! High-stakes spoken word, audience judging, and incredible poets competing for the prize! $10 or free with student ID.

🎬 THU 10/29 | 6–9 PM — BLU FILM NIGHT! We’re screening Boo! A Madea Halloween! for a night of spooky laughs!

🎃 FRI 10/30 | 7:30–9 PM — COMEDY SHOWCASE: 209 vs. 916! A killer lineup of stand-up comedians from across the region. Costumes encouraged! $15.

🎧 SAT 10/31 | 11 AM–1 PM — COFFEE & VINYL! Live DJs spinning nothing but vinyl with spooky grooves and Halloween vibes!

Six days. Six experiences. One incredible community space.

We’ve got a full SATURDAY day of music at Queen Bean today, and we’re kicking things off with a little jamming before turning up the volume with some Southern rock and blues!

Bring your fiddles, guitars, ukuleles, banjos, horns, or whatever you’ve got and join us for a good old-fashioned community jam session! Hosted by All Strings Considered with support from Modesto Artists Movement. All musicians welcome!

Two area codes. Five comedians. One hilarious night.

Get ready for a killer night of stand-up comedy at Queen Bean Coffee & Social House on Friday, October 30!

We’re bringing together a carefully curated lineup of some of the best comedians from the 209 and 916, featuring comics who perform on stages across California and know how to bring the laughs.

Queen Bean has quickly become a home for some of the best stand-up comedy in the Central Valley, and this showcase is bringing the heat!

Robert Omoto

The lineup includes THREE MAMA nominees, although one of the comedians insists he’s the only one who actually deserves it. We’ll let you figure out who.

And because it’s Halloween weekend, WEAR A COSTUME! Come dressed to impress, dressed to scare, or dressed like someone who desperately needs a night out. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Your talent, your music, your comedy, your poetry, your films, your art, and all of the creativity that you brought to the Queen Bean Coffee & Social House over the last year has led to this MAMA Award: BEST VENUE 2026!

This is our second year in a row and we could not be more proud. Thank you to the for being all about supporting artists and cultivating the next generation of talent in Modesto!

The Queen Bean is The People's House -- a home for coffee, creativity, and community! We could not be more honored to win another Award!

Thank you also to our incredible staff who work tirelessly to bring this space to life, and to everyone who comes out for a show, a cup of coffee, or a sandwich. Every visit is an investment in something bigger than a coffee shop. You’re helping us build an inclusive community space where art, creativity, and human connection thrive.

This award belongs to all of us, and it’s a reminder of what’s possible when people come together with a shared vision and a commitment to something greater than themselves.

TONIGHT! Open Mic Music Night hosted by and !

This is always such an incredible and inspirational night of community talent! Grab your guitar, your karaoke track on your phone, your trumpet, your harmonica, and your courage and creativity, and come by the Queen Bean tonight between 6-9pm to perform! Participating artists should show up early to sign up.

This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. We will have coffee, food, and adult beverages available to celebrate the end of a great weekend!

Some comedy crosses the line. Tonight’s show forgot where the line was. 🔥

DARK AND DARKER comes to Queen Bean TONIGHT for an evening of unapologetic, uncensored, and outrageously inappropriate comedy! Hosted by Marc Maple, this show features some of Northern California’s funniest comics delivering the jokes they wouldn’t dare tell anywhere else, with headliner Robert Omoto closing out the night!

⚠️ FAIR WARNING: This is an 18+ show featuring dark humor, offensive language, and jokes that may make you question your own moral compass. Comedy isn’t always comfortable, and that’s kind of the point. You don’t have to laugh at every joke. You don’t even have to like every joke. But if you enjoy comedy that pushes boundaries, this is your night!
