Taqueria Nena’s would like to extend our sincere appreciation to DTE Energy for partnering with us to provide meals to members of our community who were impacted by the recent power outages.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work together in support of our neighbors during a challenging time. Seeing our community come together and being able to serve those in need has been an honor.

To everyone who visited us over the past few days, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your recovery. We hope you enjoyed our authentic Mexican food and felt the care and support behind every meal.

Taco dinners are on DTE tonight ! Anybody that comes into taqueria Nena’s store front can get a free taco dinner for you and your family: no ticket needed just come on in and place an order we are open until sold out..

DTE has partnered with Taqueria Nena’s one last time to help members of our community who are still without power.

🌮 Today, we will be giving away fewer than 100 FREE taco dinners, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: Today’s meal vouchers are a different color than yesterday’s, and yesterday’s vouchers will not be accepted.

📍 Step 1: Visit River Raisin Veterans Park to receive today’s meal voucher.

📍 Step 2: Bring your voucher to Taqueria Nena’s Take-Out Restaurant at 1620 N. Monroe St. to redeem your FREE taco dinner.

The taqueria Nena’s food truck is not open today as all meal redemptions will take place at our take-out restaurant.

DTE is also providing meal vouchers for Slice of Italy. If you receive a Slice of Italy voucher, it must be redeemed at river raisin and took their restaurant for a free meal.

Taqueria Nena’s food truck has left the location guys. Taqueria nenas will resume normal business hrs tomorrow since our power has been restored, we were glad to help out as much as we could! Big shout out to DTE Energy for making this possible for our community 🙏🏽📍

Community Relief Update

Taqueria Nena’s is honored to partner with DTE Energy once again to support members of our community who are still without power.

Beginning today, we will be distributing 300 complimentary taco dinners at the same location using the same process. Guests must come inside first to receive a meal voucher, which can then be redeemed for a free taco dinner.

In addition to free meals, DTE will also have battery packs, bottled water, air-conditioned relief space, and an educational station with face painting for children available on-site.

Meals will be served while supplies last, so we encourage those in need to stop by early.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and look forward to helping our neighbors during this time.
