⚾❤️ State Finals Bound! ❤️⚾

Like so many of you, we’ll be cheering on the Mohawks as they compete in the State Championship game on Friday! What an incredible accomplishment for these boys, and we can’t wait to be there to support them.

Because we’ll be in Carroll cheering them on, there will be no fresh baked goods or produce available Friday or Saturday at the farm stand.

🥖🍪 But… I might do some baking Saturday evening for a Sunday restock!

🌽 Sweet corn season is officially here! 🌽

With these temperatures being so hot, we decided to skip canning for now and freeze this batch instead.

✅ 5 dozen ears down…
🌽 And we’ve got TONS more to go!

Nothing beats putting up fresh summer corn to enjoy all winter long. It’s a lot of work, but it’s so worth it when you can pull out farm-fresh sweet corn months from now!

We’re open every day from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and the stand is packed with fresh baked goods, pantry favorites, and fresh garden produce!

Our beef tallow is locally sourced from Blair Wright out of Exline, making it a great addition to your pantry.

✔️ Great for cooking in place of vegetable oils or grease
✔️ Perfect for seasoning cast iron skillets and Blackstone griddles
✔️ Adds rich, delicious flavor to your favorite meals

Please note: This tallow is intended for cooking and seasoning cookware. It is not recommended for use on your skin.

🥢✨ Big News from Half Dozen Homestead! ✨🥢

We have officially started recipe testing for our healthy meal line! 🎉

First up are some Chinese-inspired meals, and let me tell you… the stir fry with our sugar-free sauce is SO good! 🤤🥦

Before we can sell them, every recipe has to be registered with the State of Iowa. So, we’ll be spending the rest of the month testing recipes, making any final tweaks, and submitting everything for approval.

That means…
🎉 Healthy pre-order meals will officially launch August 1st! 🎉

Our goal is to make healthy eating easy with delicious, homemade meals that are perfect for busy families and anyone looking for convenient, nutritious options.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, taste tests, and introducing the meals that will be available for preorder. I can’t wait for you all to see what’s coming!

Fresh bread is out… and it’s already going fast! 🙌 I’ve already had 2 stops this morning, so if you’ve been thinking about coming by, don’t wait too long!

🧁 I’ll be making Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cupcakes tonight, so watch for those to hit the stand later!

🥥 Unfortunately, there will be no Coconut Cream Pie cupcakes this weekend. I’ve checked everywhere—even in Des Moines—and I can’t find one of the ingredients anywhere!
