This is the 4th year for Sugar bar. There has been so much blood, sweat, and tears that have been put into this cute little bakery. As life progresses, so do the needs of raising a family. And as any small business owner knows, your small business demands your time, and when you only have so much time to give, you have to decide where to put it. This has been a very hard decision I have had to make. I’ve put everything I have into this bakery, and it hurts to have to close the storefront. I had to make this choice for my kiddos, and I am grateful for my families support.
I am so beyond thankful to all of our regulars and customers over the years. So many of you have become friends, and you have made this journey so fulfilling.
To our team, some of you have been here since we opened and put their heart into it (Brittany), some of you have worked at our sister locations and ended up here so happy (Elizabeth), some have left and come back thankfully because customers wouldn’t stop asking about you (Zach), and some of you are newer but have still made such an impact. I couldn’t have done it over the years without you all. You all make this even harder. The laughs, the cries, the gossiping, the life events we’d talk about, learning and growing as we go, I am so thankful to have had you on my side through this. Thank you for loving Sugar Bar and for your friendships. You will continue to see Team Sugar Bar personalities at our other locations in Morgantown.
**** Now this is the storefront closing, I will still be doing custom orders once we’re closed. It will be limited, but I will still take custom orders, specifically wedding cakes, after this. We are building out a baking space for my cakes at one of our other restaurant locations. Baking beautiful cakes is my true passion, and what got me into opening a bakery. I will continue to serve our loyal customers who have supported me over the years. All upcoming confirmed orders will be fulfilled.
Love,
Lauren
