🎂It’s someone’s birthday today! We’re featuring a birthday cake cookie just for you! It’s a funfetti cake cookie loaded with white chocolate chips and drizzled with marshmallow sauce.

🌾Lent starts tomorrow…Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving leading up to the celebration of Easter. Many folks abstain from red meat during this time; so over the course of the next few weeks, Apple Annie’s will be featuring meals that go along with this trend favoring some fish/seafood/meatless options.
🐟Today and tomorrow for Ash Wednesday (as well as the rest of the week) we’re featuring 2 salmon cakes topped with a remoulade sauce and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes for $14.95.

🎨Our Feature Morgantown employee is our auspicious Audrey Price.
🎨She’s been with us almost 8 months as a host, barista, expo and baker. She first started at the Spring Mills location but transferred to the Morgantown spot because she’s attending WVU.
🎨Her favorite item to eat with us is the reuben.
🎨She is a 2024 graduate of Musselman HS and is in her sophomore year at WVU double majoring in painting and psychology.
🎨Her most frequently asked question is: “Can I buy four cookies?”
A: You most certainly can buy 4, but if you buy 5, you get a 6th cookie for free! What a happy accident right? 🙃
🎨In her spare time, Audrey loves playing with her cat and cooking delicious meals.

🏆Our Feature Morgantown customer is Jeremy Cale
🏆He’s been probably the most loyal customer stopping by every week especially on Saturdays for 7 years!
🏆His favorite item to eat (usually he takes it to go) are the Jeremy biscuits and gravy that he has named after him. It’s our actual homemade biscuit and gravy meal with an extra biscuit and side of gravy added onto it.
🏆He is a 1995 graduate of Preston High School

❤️Moms, dads and guardians…work up the courage to ask your son or daughter out on a date! Dress up, get them flowers, be nervous about it and ‘be our guest’!
🩷We’ll roll out the red placemats, napkins and candles for the two of you. Save room for a free dessert for the kids after they eat.
❤️‍🔥We will be running ‘date night’ all day every Tuesday and Wednesday in February.

🍪Is that a little pink peaking through all this snow, you bet?! Try our strawberry cheesecake cookie this week; it’s our strawberry cookie filled with smooth and creamy cheesecake filling…cue the Homer Simpson gurgling sound! 🙂
❄️Good thing we all love snow and cold weather around these parts! What’s the best way to combat this Abominable Snowman? Bread bowls to the rescue! 💃🏻She’s been with us for about 4 months as a baker doing just about anything and everything that needs done, but she specializes in cakes and cream pies.

💃🏻Erin attended James W Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA graduating in 2024. Currently, she’s a sophomore at WVU double majoring in dance & Health and Wellbeing.

🏔️A: We use liquid egg whites as well as dehydrated egg whites, a bit of sugar, vanilla and cream of tartar…then beat the crap out of it! That’s what gives our homemade cream pies their mile high meringues that you see when you come in!
💃🏻In her spare time, Erin enjoys hanging out with her cat, watching movies and dancing whenever no one, anyone or everyone is watching!

💈Phyllis worked management in retail (mainly grocery) and Ed started with a paper route decades ago in the Greenmont/High St./Pleasant St area with 93 customers. 🪙🪙Some of the most painful 15 minutes we go through (besides labor) is going into a warm room after your fingers are frozen and numb from being outside in the cold. Try to keep your hands above your head and don’t put them under warm/hot water! It simply takes time for the blood to start flowing naturally.
🍪We could surely use a volcano to keep us warm right about now! Featuring our chocolate lava cake cookie this week; it’s our triple chocolate cookie with chocolate ganache filling inside and dusted with powdered sugar.
🍝Everyone knows pasta is the perfect dish when it’s cold outside. We’re featuring our chicken Alfredo bake this week with a side salad and garlic toast. You’ll float out of here it’s that good! (Accordion not included 😄 )

🎥Our Feature Morgantown employee this week is charismatic Collin Overfield.
🎥He’s been with us for about a month and a half as an expeditor, but he’s gunning to be the next barista you first see when you come in…stop by and strike up a conversation with him; he’s a pretty friendly bloke!

🪙🪙Only the person who isn't rowing has time to rock the boat.
🍪We’re all used to driving on snowy roads lately with lots of cinders on them…this was inspiration for our cookie of the week…only much tastier and you don’t have to worry about the other driver! 🙂 It’s a Cookies and Cream cookie; our snickerdoodle cookie with Oreo pieces mixed in and sprinkled on top with a marshmallow cream sauce drizzled all over. Let it snow!
🎸Everyone knows eating smaller portions is much better for our diets. This week’s feature meal showcases our Nashville Hot Honey Sliders; two smaller portions of boneless chicken breasts, soaked in buttermilk, hand breaded, fried, and tossed in a hot honey glaze (not too hot) then served on 2 slider buns with chipotle aioli, lettuce, tomato, pickles as well as fries and slaw on the side for $14.75.

📣Our Feature Morgantown employee is our kind-hearted Kyia George.
📣She’s been with us for about two months as a baker, but hopes to jump out front as a part-time hostess as well…stop in to see if she was successful.
📣She loves our chicken tenders with fries and ranch dressing.
📣She is currently a junior at University HS and hopes to graduate in the spring of 2027! Afterwards she hopes to attend WVU and major in criminology.

A: Every morning and evening shift a cookie list is made for the bakers to bake off for the front counter. Kyia, as of this point, is on the cookie shift and is responsible for weighing and baking all the cookies that make up our 14 towers of cookies you may notice when you first walk in our front doors! Sometimes the baristas are anxiously waiting for fresh cookies to come out of the oven…so, chop chop Kyia! 😄

🍪It’s January and you know what that means…time to eat healthy! That’s why we’re featuring our oatmeal cookie, but we didn’t want to be too healthy…so we added chocolate chips to it instead of raisins! ☺️

⛵️Bill and Debbie have been with us since our Point Marion days and have been coming to Morgantown ever since the move, the girls have been coming since they were young.
⛵️It was their parents' anniversary (and they were celebrating with a date night) so it was a win-win that the girls got to come out and have dessert AND spend time with their grandparents!
⛵️Mazzie said our spaghetti is the best, and Willa loves our steak salad with homemade ranch for obvious reasons!
⛵️Bill enjoys our Liver & Onions on Wednesday or our Chicken Noodle soup. Debbie’s go-to is a salad because they “are always so fresh” paired with a soup of the day no matter what it is.
⛵️Mazzie & Willa go to Brookhaven; Mazzie is in 5th grade and Willa is in 3rd.
⛵️Bill and Debbie both graduated from Morgantown High, Bill graduated in 75’ and Debbie graduated in 78’
⛵️Debbie retired from Mon county schools, and Bill retired from Kroger.
⛵️The girls already had an idea of what they’d like to do when they grow up … Mazzie wants to be a teacher, a counselor or a physical therapist, whereas Willa would like to work in special education or as a vet.

🍪Our hot chocolate cookie this week goes well with winter time. It’s our triple chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips and marshmallow fluff melted on top.
🥖French dip is our weekly feature: thinly sliced roast beef, caramelized onions and mozzarella cheese on a toasted hoagie bun, served with au jus, horseradish sauce, chips and slaw…oh so good!

⚾️Our Feature Morgantown employee this week is our zestful Zachary Harman.
⚾️Zach has been with us for over 5 months first as a host and now primarily as an expeditor.
⚾️Although he will eat anything and everything put in front of him, Zachary really enjoys our smokehouse chicken wrap.
⚾️He is a 2023 graduate of University HS and he is currently studying economics at WVU but has his eyes set on being a professional baseball player eventually.
⚾️His most frequently asked question is: “Hey you, can you reach that for me?
A: He is very tall and relatively friendly, so he would be glad to reach those items up there for you!
⚾️In his spare time, Zach loves to play basketball and get in a little golfing when he can.
🛷Our Feature Morgantown customers are Nancy and Matt Brunner
🛷They started their journey with us way back in the early 2000’s during the Barb and Chip era when their kids were first born, “they were basically raised there” Nancy says.
🛷Barb used to give their daughter Heather a rag to help bus tables (if you know Heather she loves to clean). Heather used to tell her parents “one day she would work for Apple Annie’s” .. flash forward now she’s one of our favorite baristas at Annie’s Coffee & Creamery right across the interstate from the restaurant! 🥰
🛷Nancy is a fan of the steak wrap and Matt loves the apple Jack chicken sandwich.
🛷She is an ’88 graduate of Huntington HS and her husband is an ’88 graduate of North Allegheny HS in McCandless, PA.
🛷Nancy is now a pediatrician for WVU Medicine and Matt specializes in internal medicine in addition to pediatrics for WVU Medicine.

🌎As the world continues to speed up, we’re trying hard at Apple Annie’s to slow things down. Visiting small, local mom & pop places are the best ways to keep AI and an ever growing ‘less human world’ at bay!
💙Everyone needs to eat and many of us need healthcare…it’s the local medical institutions that not only help their patients but help us here at Apple Annie’s by referring many of their visitors to our stores!
💙We’re bringing ‘Medical Appreciation Mondays’ back in January.
🍎Every Monday in January stop by, show us your badge and spin the wheel to see what you’ve won! You have the ability to snag free food, desserts, merchandise, discounts and gift cards!
