Customers of the Week: Amy & Sean!

This week’s customers are extra special—our cousins Amy and Sean, who came all the way from Portland, Oregon to visit!

They’ve been cheering on The Gatehouse from afar since the beginning, and it was so great to finally have them here in person! We loved getting to spend time together and show them the little place they’ve been supporting from across the country.

Thanks for making the trip, Amy and Sean! We loved having you here!

LIVE MUSIC WITH YANA KING & KHALIL JADE | OCT. 23 4–6 PM

We’ve been lucky to experience so much incredible musical talent over these three years, and this one feels especially close to our hearts.

Yana King and Khalil Jade have both been part of The Gatehouse’s musical community from the beginning. Yana first performed here at our open mic and has since gone on to become quite the acclaimed local musician, now recording her first album. Khalil has been wowing audiences across New York and beyond. She hosts our monthly open mic and has released several albums, including LIVE from The Gatehouse in 2025.

For our anniversary, they’ve put together a special set just for the occasion — a chance to celebrate two wonderful musicians who have helped make this place what it is.

Join us at The Gatehouse on Sunday, October 25, from 4–6 p.m. for an afternoon of music and conversation with Otsego County Board District 2 candidate Jason Cianciotto and Broadway performer Courter Simmons.

Meet Jason, bring your questions, and share what matters to you. A Morris resident, foster and adoptive parent, and nonprofit and public-policy leader with more than 20 years of experience, Jason is running to make life more affordable, protect essential services, and support our farms, small businesses, and natural resources.

His guiding belief: “Every family deserves the opportunity to build—and keep—a good life in Otsego County.”

We’ll also enjoy performances by Courter, whose career has taken him to Broadway and more than 50 cities in Jersey Boys. He represented the show as Frankie Valli at the 2009 Tony Awards and received a 2024 Grammy nomination for his work on the Sondheim Unplugged album. An international actor, singer, dancer, and event host, Courter has also appeared in regional theater, film, and on NBC and HBO.
