Happy Birthday, USA. 🇺🇸

Long before 1776 Morristown opened its doors, we chose a name that carried meaning.

1776 is more than a number. It represents courage, independence, vision, and the belief that something extraordinary can be built when people come together. From day one, we understood the responsibility and pride that came with carrying that name.

If you walk through our restaurant, you’ll see that story everywhere. In the artwork that honors our nation’s history. In the bright bold colors of the American flag painting, on our greenery walls in filled with preserved moss, inspired by the beautiful landscapes that stretch across this country. In the portrait of our founding fathers. And at the heart of it all stands our Lady Liberty, a symbol of freedom, hope, and opportunity.

As our country celebrates 250 years, we’re reminded why we chose this name and why it continues to inspire us every day. We are honored to be a small part of the story and grateful to celebrate this milestone with our community.

Happy 250th Birthday, USA.

We wear the number 1776 with pride, and we hope to be here for another 250 years, celebrating the spirit, beauty, and history of this remarkable nation.

We’re proud to unveil Rocking the Declaration, a special community collaboration celebrating the USA’s 250th anniversary.

A huge thank you to Janet O’Neil, Caitlin Halpin, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Morris Arts for partnering with 1776 to bring this project to life.

The 12’ x 18’ acrylic painting will be on display at 1776 through September 1 and will be auctioned to benefit both the FDU Graphic Arts Department and Morris Arts.

In honor of the USA’s 250th birthday celebration, we’ve brought back one of our most beloved cocktails.

Crafted with Belvedere, cinnamon, grapefruit, lemon, and topped with Chandon Garden Spritz, the Betsy Ross is available every day at 1776 Morristown.

But during Saturday Brunch, she steals the spotlight.

Order a Betsy Ross Spritz Tree and each spritz will be served with its own mini Chandon Garden Spritz. Tableside, you’ll get to pour and “dunk” the bubbly into your cocktail for the perfect finishing touch.

And because brunch should always be a little sweeter, you’ll receive a scoop of gelato for each Betsy Ross Spritz on your tree.

Join us Thursday, July 2nd at 7:30 pm as we unveil Rocking the Declaration, an original painting by Janet O’Neil, Graphic Design Program Coordinator & Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, created to celebrate the USA’s 250th Anniversary and Morristown’s revolutionary spirit.

This vibrant, one-of-a-kind artwork will be on display at 1776 Morristown all summer before being auctioned to the highest bidder, with proceeds benefiting Morris Arts and the FDU Graphic Design Department.

Come raise a glass with us, celebrate 250 years of the USA’s story through art, music, and community.
