Six years ago my dream of Pearl’s Kitchen came to life on a rainy November day in a little bitty space that I questioned if people would even come out to fill the tables of, and y’all did! We outgrew that sweet little space at 2237 N Edwards and relocated downtown where we’ve called home for the past four years. Over these years we have gotten to share so many moments and memories with y’all - from orders to celebrate life’s big moments to weekday lunch meetups with friends, inviting us in your homes through orders to hosting special events with us at Pearl’s, first dates to saying, “I do”, and everything in between, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting Pearl’s be a part of your life.
The hospitality industry is as tough to be in as it is fulfilling, and the past couple of years have not made it easy on anything in our industry, it has taken its toll on all of us. Over the past two years we’ve seen ingredients and packaging reach costs of double, triple, and sometimes more that have made it hard to keep on keeping on. Sometimes new seasons in life mean big changes, and with that we have made the difficult decision that it is time to move on.
As we close our doors downtown we want to ask one thing of you when you visit our fellow restaurants - give grace, be kind, support as much as you can, don’t “forget” about that restaurant you used to frequent, tip a bit extra especially when you can tell the waitstaff is spread thin, write reviews that get people excited to visit, promote, promote, promote, and be understanding.
Our last day downtown will be March 18, 2022. We hope to see y’all’s smiling faces a last time or two before this chapter ends!
Thank you for your friendship and support over the past six years.
