We would like to thank everybody🙏😊 (locals + tourists) who’ve patronized us during what we might call the biggest adventure of our lifetimes☄️✋🔃🆙💫It has been our pleasure serving you!Unfortunatley this Saturday October 16th will be our last service in Munising 👋 Long story short we passed on buying the building we are in & it was sold very shortly thereafter.😦 Fear not you will get another restaurant in town…it just won’t be us anymore. We wanted to give a heads up to anybody who might want one last feast before we close! 😋🍴🌭🥟🍟🐠🍔🧀🍴🤤

Real health & safety is a priority here. All of us kitchen crew got a touch of heat exhaustion/stroke tending to last nights WAYYY bigger than average crowd 🥵🔥 😅 we are prepping today but we will not be open for Dinner Service tonight so we can make sure we’re properly rested & hydrated 💦😮‍💨🧊💦😴 in order to ensure that we have the endurance for a successful weekend! 🔪💪🔥

With the collapse one of the “Big” food distribution companies, we are currently very thankful that we didn’t have ALL our food needs in that basket. Since we opened we’ve used a local specialty product distribution company right outta Hancock Michigan for a whole bunch of our dishes…just wanted to give Vollwerth's a BIG THANKS ☺️ 🙏 ❤️ 🥩🥖🧀🌭🫓

Thanks to some generous friends of the business we got to decompress on our off day in true yooper style🙏😶‍🌫️😌 we’ve decided that Thursday will be a dinner service only day 5pm-9pm! It’s a good pressure release valve after these Tuesdays & Wednesday we’ve been having this summer 🤯💥🤯💥 + we have a chance to build our food prep up properly for the weekend & more importantly maintain our “standards” which gets harder to do when your dead tired 😪

So we’ve been “riding” the proverbial “lightning”⚡️ since summer kicked off around here in the U.P. 🆙
The crowds are almost double what they were last year & we are doing double the business! Unfortunately we’re doing that “double business” vs. nationwide food / staffing shortages & with the same staff as last year which =‘s 5 dedicated souls(owners included)🙏🏆scrapping it out in the face of these challenges to serve YOU with some actual real deal love ❤️ on it!…which fortunately our in person verbal + online reviews corroborate for us😊 Everyone of us is on double over time & we are BEAT up down to the bone 🤕 🦴🦶 of course we appreciate the business & making money is the incentivized by-product 💰 so being closed on a Saturday is a big deal BUT today we have to put our team morale, camaraderie, health & well being 1st☝️We will be closed today/tonight ☀️🌙 in an effort to get decompressed & de-stressed to take on next weeks services. Our sincere apologies for the lateness of the post!

Hey guys, we’ve been getting RANSACKED this year and we are doing our best to keep up with our food prep. In order to serve everyone better we will be open at Noon today…only an hour later 😉 PS: we’re still in need of more hands. Cashier position is great for anyone that wants part time work or some extra cash. The tips in the summer make for a very nice pay check 😎
